Made in America: The Handmade Teardrop Trailer

It’s fitting that a book that promotes readers to be industrious and rely on local materials and their own two hands is printed right here at home in The United States of America.

I submitted my final book edits to my publisher last week. Draft number four of The Handmade Teardrop Trailer is a sight to behold. 224 pages of illustrated instructions, captions, drawings, inspiration. When I start a book project I have a vision in my head, but it’s always surpassed when it arrives all neatly packaged up in a PDF ready for the printing press.

Next week, that’s where it’s headed. And I was pleased to read that my publisher, Spring House Press has decided to print my book right here in the United States of America. It’s cheaper to go overseas — the paper and labor cost less — so I appreciate the extra effort my publisher makes to support jobs and business here at home.
